extraprima 94-95 | Der Gottesfuss war bereits im August 2023 kurz nach der Abfüllung ganz würzig, intensiv und ätherisch im Geruch. Dabei entwickelte er eine enorme Tiefe und verführerische Ansprache. Satt und klar in der Aromatik, verfügt der Gottesfuss über eine schöne Fülle und Saftigkeit im Mund. Er durchläuft einen großen Spannungsbogen, ist sehr transparent, geradlinig und rassig. Ein archetypischer GG-Riesling von der Saar mit Frische, Spannung und unablässigem, mineralischem Druck. 12,5% Alkohol.

Suckling 96 | Still a little shy, but the wide spectrum of stone fruit aromas (red-fleshed vineyard peach too!) that are slowly emerging are already stunning. Enormous concentration and excellent focus as this powers across the palate. And yet all this is not a jot too much, rather you want to bathe in it. Excellent potential. Drinkable now, but best from 2024.

Parker 90+ | The 2022 Gottesfuss Alte Reben GG has a clear, finely spicy slate nose with fine Saar Riesling fruit. It is juicy and quite creamy on the dense and mouth-filling palate, again with slate spiciness and good structure, but also somewhat ponderous due to the site location in this so hot and long dry year. At this stage, it is far less impressive than previous vintages but with potential for the better. Tasted in Wiesbaden at the Vorpremiere VDP.Grosses Gewächs in August 2023.
