extraprima 99-100 | Dunkle, etwas gereifte Farbe. Superfein, verschlossen und sehr komplex duftet der verführerische Trotanoy 2022 extrem tiefgründig und delikat konzentriert. Extrem junng präsentiert er sich aus einem Guss, superintensiv und finessenreich abgerundet, mit enorm fleischiger Fülle und samtenen, allumfassend differenzierten Gerbstoffen, hochfeinkörnig. Grandioser, langer, weiter Trotanoy, der sich noch entwickeln muss. Aus einer frisch geöffneten Flasche mit wenig Zeit verkostet.

Der begeisternde Trotanoy lag bei den Primeurs-Verkostungen des Jahrgangs 2022 auf Augenhöhe mit Lafleur, nur der überragende Pétrus hatte in Pomerol eine Wimpernlänge mehr Strahlkraft. Die 7,2 Hektar von Trotanoy wurden vom 1.-19.9. geerntet, die Assemblage besteht aus 96% Merlot und 4% Cabernet Franc.

Erdbeeren und Kirschen mit Sandelholz

Suckling 98 | Pristine fruit of strawberries and cherries with some spices such as nutmeg. Plenty of sandalwood too. Medium- to full-bodied, this has very tight tannins in the finish that hold the whole thing together. Wow at the end! A dynamic young red. 96% merlot and 4% cabernet franc. Best after 2030.

Galloni 98 | The 2022 Trotanoy is seriously beautiful. Intensely aromatic and also vertical in build, the 2022 speaks to refinement more than anything else. Dark-toned fruit, gravel, incense, licorice, chocolate, lavender and dried herbs open with some coaxing. Above all, I am blown away by the wine's balance and total sense of harmony. Trotanoy is rarely this sensual, especially in the early going. 

Brombeeren imd feingliedrige Gerbstoffe

Martin 97 | The 2022 Trotanoy needs considerable coaxing from the glass to reveal blackberry, briar and light pencil box scents. The bouquet is so tightly coiled but has wonderful precision. The palate is medium-bodied and very harmonious. Finely chiseled tannins and a crisp line of acidity lead to a judiciously spiced, slightly peppery finish that urges you back for more. This will demand at least a decade in bottle before it shows what it is capable of.
