Seit Guillot Clauzel von Guillaume Thienpont (Vieux Câteau Certan) bereitet wird ist es ein Top-Pomerol!

extraprima (95-96) | Auf Guillot-Clauzel gab es während der Trockenphase keine blockage, die Vinifikation wurde dennoch sanfter durchgeführt. Der Ertrag lag bei 35 hl/ha. Die Assemblage besteht aus 83% Merlot und 17% Cabernet Franc mit 14,5% Alkohol. Der Ausbau erfolgt in nur 30% neuen Fässern statt 50%, da Guillaume Thienpont der Meinung war, dass die Trauben bereits genug Gerbstoffe in sich trugen.
Dunkle, hochviskose Farbe. Duftig, tiefgründig und offensiv ist die Nase des Guillot-Clauzel reichhaltig erfüllt von schwelgerischer Frucht. Wuchtig, voll und intensiv erscheint der Guillot-Clauzel im Mund sehr körperreich und mit druckvollen Gerbstoffen ausgestattet. Dunkelbeerig, hocharomatisch und kreidig satt, besitzt der Guillot-Clauzel eine ausgezeichnete Saftigkeit und Frische, lang, nachhaltig und generös im Finale.

Suckling 96 | This is linear and transparent with dark cherries and lemon rind. Subtle and fine. Medium-bodied with vibrating tanking that gives this vibe and length. Focused and pretty. 83% merlot and 17% Cabernet franc. Drink after 2028.

Galloni 94 | The 2022 Guillot-Clauzel turned out beautifully. Lifted and aromatically precise, the Guillot-Clauzel is impressive. Floral and spice notes open first, announcing a healthy presence of Cabernet Franc. Red cherry fruit, blood orange, spice, mocha and lavender are beautifully amplified in the glass. The 2022 is the most elegant and refined wine I have tasted since Guillaume Thienpont took over the management of this estate in 2018. This is a gorgeous, sexy Pomerol that will be approachable with minimal cellaring.
