extraprima 93 | Jérémy Chasseuil verteidigte mit seinem erfolgreichen 2013er seinen mittlerweile festen Platz unter den Top-10 in Pomerol. Vom 30. September bis 9. Oktober brachte er die spärliche Ernte von maximal 25 hl/ha ein. 13,3% Alkohol erreichte er mit 95% Merlot und 5% Cabernet Franc, 70% reiften in neuen Fässern. Wie immer die dunkelste Farbe in Pomerol.  Dicht und intensiv in der Nase, nicht ganz so exotisch oder wuchtig wie sonst, etwas verhaltener, aber Feytit-typisch. Dunkle, saftige Beeren mit Schokolade und etwas Karamell. Dichter Auftakt im Mund, ganz reife Aromen, würzig, sehr stoffige Struktur mit guter Fülle im Mittelstück. Sehr guter, saftiger Zug, erinnert an den äußerst gelungenen 2008er. Körperreich, sehr klar definiert, mit knackiger Säure, die ihm viel Grip und Frische verleiht. Schmelzig-rund, mit viel Fleisch und gutem Verve, lebendig und komplett. 94/100 sind ihm sicher. Parker (90-92) | An unquestionable star of the vintage, this 18-acre vineyard is near Trotanoy, Latour a Pomerol and Clinet. The wine is made from 95% Merlot and 5% Cabernet Franc. Only 50% of the production made it into the Grand Vin label. Surprisingly it sports a lofty 13.4% natural alcohol. Deep ruby/purple, with notes of plum, blackcurrant, black cherry, incense and camphor, the wine shows surprising depth, a reasonably broad, succulent mouthfeel and a luscious, impressive finish. This is atypically rich, juicy and succulent for a 2013. Drink it over the next decade or more.

Galloni (90-92) | Violets, graphite, melted road tar, blueberry jam and spices all take shape as the 2013 Feytit Clinet shows off its personality. Rich and explosive in the glass, the 2013 impresses for its sumptuous fruit and fabulous overall balance. The 2013 was terrific both times I tasted it.
